Facebook Messenger & Instagram Direct Messages

When a business connects its Facebook Page or Instagram professional account to Supernila, and a person sends that business a direct message on Messenger or Instagram, we receive and store the message content, the message timestamp, the sender’s Meta-assigned page-scoped or Instagram-scoped identifier, and any attachment references. We use this solely to surface the message to the connected business as a lead and to let the business reply within Meta’s standard messaging window. We do not request or store the sender’s Facebook/Instagram profile, email, or phone number, and we do not share message content with third parties.

Deleting your Messenger/Instagram data: you can request deletion of the message data we hold about you at any time. If you remove our app from your Facebook settings, Meta notifies us automatically and we delete the associated message records; you will receive a confirmation code and a status link to verify completion. You may also request deletion directly by emailing [email protected]. Our data-deletion status page is available at /data-deletion-status.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy. Usage data is typically retained for shorter periods, except when needed for security, service improvement, or legal compliance. Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct message data is retained for the life of the connected business’s account and is deleted upon a verified deletion request (see above).
